Safety is a way of life at AEC and we are committed to providing a workplace that is free from hazard. All AEC management, staff and on-site work force have completed a 40-hour OSHA Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response Standard (HAZWOPER) training provided by a professional safety training organization. We require annual HAZWOPER Refresher updates, annual physicals, and medical surveillance programs, including a comprehensive drug and alcohol-screening program. Before a project begins, we develop a Site Specific Health and Safety Plan, which outlines the potential hazards of the work site and the specific safety requirements. All projects begin with a tail gate meeting so that all workers are aware of any potential health and safety hazards. Health and Safety tail gate meetings continue throughout the project and protocol is reviewed by the AEC safety officer during on-site operations.
